soaring phobia

So I have to fly for work, no choice in the matter. And I'm scared to death. Why? I have faith in my own training as a nurse. Why is this not the same for the pilot? Ah, elements beyond my control. My fear does not stop me flying, it just doesn't make for an enjoyable time. So I've made peace with my fear, and just hope the person seated next to me does too :o)
