Some days, sure. That's going to happen, I guess, working in a public building. People that get into the lift before I have stepped out of it really tick-me-off. What's your hurry? That lift ain't going anywhere with me still inside. Oh, or the people that ask "Are you going up/down?". What way does the BIG lit up arrow on the top the lift show? You don't need a degree for this people. I've been abused by visitors because I don't know where Children's Ward is located within the hospital. Sorry, but last time I checked, I was wearing a uniform, not a f*#king map.
Now this is REALLY whiny...having to share the cafeteria with visitors and patients is also on my list of "petty things to complain about work". I've got 30 minutes to get to the cafeteria (fighting my way through the lifts AND giving directions along the way), line up, find out off the chef what's Gluten Free, get served, pay, make my way back to my desk and consume an incredibly average lunch. I really DON'T want to chat to random people in the queue. Hell, I don't even want there to be a line, because I am always the one stuck behind the visitor ordering for several others, with coffees...
And the staff member that asks "Is [insert name here] not there?" when you pick up [insert same name here]'s phone. Yes genius, they actually are here, but as I don't already have enough work in my day, and I really enjoy watching [insert name here] attempt to pick up their phone when it cuts off...
Ah well, pays for my holidays I guess :o)
